Founder and Managing Member, Accolade Partners

Joelle Kayden is the founder and managing member of Accolade Partners. Accolade Partners is a fund of funds that invests in software and healthcare-focused venture capital and growth equity managers on behalf of endowments, foundations, and families. Accolade Partners, founded in 2000, has $1.5 billion under management across six funds.

Prior to founding Accolade, Joelle spent 18 years at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown, where she was managing director in the firm’s investment banking division and began her career as CFO of ABS Ventures, the venture capital affiliate of Alex. Brown.

Joelle holds a BA from Smith College and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). In addition to interviewing female applicants to the GSB for the past nine years, she is involved with a number of initiatives to encourage women to pursue careers in investment management. She is a member of the Rockefeller University Council in New York City and president of the Jensam Foundation. She also serves on the board of Rockefeller University.

Joelle lives in Washington, D.C., and has two grown children.
