Ongoing Events for GSB Alumni
Entrepreneur Commitment Group
These are confidential monthly gatherings of Stanford MBA alumni entrepreneurs to discuss issues associated with the ongoing management and operation of the participants' companies. A six-month commitment is required to participate. Groups are currently active in Washington DC and Seattle as well as at Stanford. Please contact us for more information.
Founders Forum
This group is targeted towards more experienced alumni entrepreneurs and meets monthly in San Francisco with a leadership coach facilitator.
Lunch or Dinner meetings outside the Bay Area
Each year the CES Executive Director, Linda Wells, hosts a number of lunch or dinner gatherings for alumni entrepreneurs outside the Bay Area. Recent locations have included San Diego, Atlanta and Seattle. Local alumni chapters are notified of forthcoming dates.
GSB Mail Group
If you are interested in being on a mail group with other GSB alumni entrepreneurs and VC's please sign up for the entrepreneurs and/or venture capital mail groups through the alumni website. The CES uses these mail groups to publicize events on campus as well as offer communication with fellow alumni seeking input, which is often followed by a summary of their finding.
Alumni Round Table Discussions
These are designed for our senior entrepreneurs as an intimate venue to facilitate the sharing of best practices centered on a particular topic. The 2-hour invitation-only sessions are led by one of the GSB faculty and can accommodate up to 15 alumni. A short article is usually recommended for reading before the meeting, to provide a starting point for discussion. Topics have included Culture with Chuck Holloway, Leadership with Joel Peterson, HR issues, including hiring and firing, with Irv Grousbeck and Sales Management with Mark Leslie.
