The Stanford Challenge: Seeking Solutions, Educating Leaders

The Stanford Challenge represents an ambitious vision for redefining the role of the modern university in society. Rather than being simply a repository for human knowledge, the university's role should be broader, one that actively attempts to find solutions to the difficult global challenges of the 21st century and develops the leadership necessary to address these challenges. Stanford is committed to realizing this vision.

The GSB plays a central role in the Stanford Challenge. As part of this role, the Center for Leadership Development and Research is increasingly working with students in other Stanford schools (Medicine, Engineering, Education, Law, Humanities) to provide some of the same leadership education available to MBA students.
