2012 Giving Deadlines

Stanford's fiscal year runs September 1 to August 31, and all gifts must be received during this period to be acknowledged in our yearend donor rolls.

For those wishing to make a gift before fiscal yearend for tax purposes, giving deadlines are listed below.

These giving deadlines are not final and are subject to change as we get closer to the calendar year end. Please check back for updated information.

Gift type	Deadline
Web Gifts	Must be made online by 11:59 p.m. PST on Friday, August 31
Credit Card Gifts (received by mail or phone)	Must be received by Gift Processing no later than 10 a.m. on Friday, August 31
Gifts by U.S. Mail* (Cash/Check)	Must be postmarked on or before Friday, August 31
Securities Gifts	Check with your broker for the deadline to initiate transfers to ensure receipt by Stanford by 5 p.m. on Friday, August 31
Wire Transfer Gifts	Must be received by Stanford by 5 p.m. on Friday, August 31

*A private mail service, such as FedEX or UPS may be used, but the package containing the gift must be received by August 31.
