eBooks
The entire contents of many traditionally published books are now available electronically. In addition to the online availability of the full text, publishers of electronic books offer searching across their entire library of ebooks by subject, author, or title, as well as key word searching within a specific title. To facilitate browsing and viewing, tables of contents are also provided. To participate fully in all ebook features, users maybe requested to establish a personal account on the site.
The following are available to current members of the Stanford community, who can view and download pages of electronic documents without charge.
- ebrary - one of the largest purveyors of electronic documents, offering over 16,000 titles in various disciplines including general business, finance, economics, and management. Note: Not available via WebApps. See Off-campus access instructions.
- Books24x7 - computing and information technology. Maximum three simultaneous Stanford users allowed.
- Safari Tech Books - selected computing books, mostly O'Reilly publications.
- Other eBooks via Stanford University Libraries
