Building Momentum: Diversity and Entrepreneurship
Location
Being a successful entrepreneur is no easy feat. It takes passion, hard work and grit, and plenty of support to start and scale a company. Building Momentum: Diversity and Entrepreneurship addresses the unique challenges and opportunities faced by founders from underrepresented communities, and ways that investors, nonprofits, and communities are working to encourage more diversity in entrepreneurship. This virtual conference is equal parts inspiration and education, practical knowledge and tactical skills, powerful networking and community building.
Sponsored by the Stanford GSB Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, the conference invites aspiring and active founders from all communities historically underrepresented among entrepreneurs, such as those from the Black, Latinx, Indigenous, LGBTQ communities, and women founders. We also invite investors, ecosystem builders, allies, and everyone who wants to inspire and accelerate diversity in entrepreneurship to attend. It’s a unique opportunity to hear from founders scaling successful companies and others who can provide ideas, inspiration, and insights. Please come share, support, and connect with peers and founders.
The exciting agenda includes fireside chats, presentations, and panel discussions focused on gaining knowledge, learning skills, and sharing personal stories of both success and failure. The day also includes interactive breakout sessions on everything from finding market fit and building great teams to financing options and scaling success to ultimately create economic and employment opportunities for our communities and beyond.
Join us in building momentum.
