Center for Entrepreneurial Studies (CES)

The Center focuses on case development, research, curriculum development, and student and alumni programs in the areas of entrepreneurship and funding of early stage companies, including venture capital.

GSB Annual Conference on Entrepreneurship

Tuesday, March 6

This annual conference pioneers thinking on the what/how/who of starting growing businesses. Following the keynote lecture there will be a series of interactive panels and speakers featuring prominent figures in the entrepreneurial and investor community. Breakout sessions this year include: Impact Investing; The Rise of Big Data; Design Prototyping; The Startup Lifecycle; and an MBA Pitch Workshop.

Cost and Registration
Registration for the conference is open to all Stanford students ($20), alumni ($40), and outside community members ($50). The cost includes admission to all sessions and a light dinner at the reception. The registration deadline is February 28.

The Center supports alumni and students engaged in entrepreneurial pursuits and aims to:

  • Promote research on entrepreneurial companies and on topics relevant to entrepreneurs.
  • >Graduate students who understand entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial companies by enhancing and expanding the curriculum of the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
  • Provide resources for students and alumni embarking on entrepreneurial ventures.
  • Establish relationships with the local entrepreneurial community.

History
Building on a half-century tradition of entrepreneurship at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies was founded in 1996 to address the need for greater understanding of the issues faced by entrepreneurial individuals and companies.
