I'd like to help students who want to be entrepreneurs. How can I get involved in the GSB?
There are many opportunities to get involved. We are always looking for speakers for a variety of events. We have a few ways for you to mentor our students: student
projects, summer internships, or in coursework. For more information please go to the Community/Alumni section of our Web site.
How can I find out about interesting entrepreneurial events at the GSB?
Check out the Events section of our Web site. The Entrepreneurship
and High Tech Clubs also offer a series of events. For information about events across Stanford, please check the
BASES (Business Association of Stanford Engineering Students) Web site.
I'm looking for a job with a start-up. What should I do first?
As an alumnus of the GSB, you have access to the GSB Job Board. Simply log in to the GSB Job Board. If you are in the market for a high-tech opportunity, BASES (Business Association of Stanford Engineering Students) list job postings.
What kind of research is going on at the GSB that is related to entrepreneurship?
There are a number of major projects, including the Stanford Project on Emerging Companies, the Center for Electronic Business and Commerce, as well as a range of
other faculty research projects.
What types of resources are available for alumni use?
We offer meeting space, three computers, two databases,
entrepreneurial books, research papers, course syllabi, cases, and event videos.
What types of workstations are available?
There are three workstations, with a PC and access to a printer, which can be used during normal business hours. The workstations are first-come, first-served. The Center is open 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Is there a conference room for use?
There is a small conference room with a speakerphone, TV, and VCR available. Alumni should contact the CES at 650-723-0910 for a reservation.
Do you have any other space available for gatherings?
The Center lobby may be used for larger gatherings, such as alumni
small group meetings. CES permission is required.
Is there a fax machine?
Alumni may use the Center fax machine to make free local calls.
