How Admissions Works

We admit a select, diverse cohort (continue to link to class profile) each year. Our process is designed to understand how you think, how you lead, how you see the world, and how you see your future.

Rounds and Timing

The application cycle has multiple rounds. You:

  • Should submit when your application is strongest; there is no advantage to any particular round.
  • May submit only one application per year.

To apply to both the Stanford MBA and Stanford MSx Programs, you must use the Round 2 joint application deadline. Note: the MBA Program does not accept the Executive Assessment. Joint applicants must submit a valid GMAT, GMAT Focus, or GRE score. Please verify the current Round 2 joint deadline before applying.

MSx Deferral Policy

If you are admitted, you are expected to enroll in the MSx program in the year of admission. We do not grant deferrals, except in rare and extraordinary circumstances (for example, compulsory military service). Otherwise, you are welcome to reapply.
