Founder Stephen Bailey navigates initial sales and partnerships, key personnel decisions, and fundraising dilemmas as he seeks to improve diversity among corporate leaders using the ExecOnline platform.
Learning ObjectiveThis case is designed to help students craft strategies to overcome the classic “chicken-and-egg” program that is common in platform businesses like ExecOnline. Additionally, students will consider how to deal with mistakes by team members, how to make difficult personnel decisions, and how to navigate fundraising challenges such as deal re-trading.
