The Kinetics and Michael J. Fox Foundations (B): New Directions

By Robert Burgelman, Philip Meza
2007 | Case No. SM163B
This case describes the strategies and interaction of the Kinetics Foundation and the Michael J. Fox Foundation. In particular, it shows how these two organizations, although quite different from each other, collaborate toward a common mission of supporting research into treatments and cures for Parkinson’s disease. The case also illustrates how the foundations are able to work together and work apart as the research landscape in which they operate shifts.
