Do Mergers and Acquisitions Improve Efficiency? Evidence from Power Plants

The research highlights how high-performing firms can turn underperforming assets into productive ones through smarter ownership and operational strategies.

Measuring Perceived Slant in Large Language Models Through User Evaluations
Technology

This study finds that all large language models are left-leaning, even by Democratic respondents, and a simple tweak to system instructions measurably reduces this tilt. The method is readily transferable to any model, topic, or population, giving firms, regulators, and scholars a practical tool for monitoring and mitigating ideological distortion in an algorithmically curated information environment.
