Health Care at the Stanford GSB
Over the past three years, the Stanford GSB’s Program in Healthcare Innovation (PHI) has promoted research on the innovations that can make healthcare more sustainable. We also contributed to the education of a new generation of healthcare leaders by offering a portfolio of events and interactive learning activities. We appreciate the involvement of all of the students, faculty members, alumni, professionals, and sponsors who enabled the initiative to thrive.
Effective September 1, 2013, we are pleased to announce that Professor Stefanos Zenios, previously the leader of PHI, will become the new faculty director for the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies (CES). As part of this transition, PHI will no longer exist as an independent entity. However, the Stanford GSB remains committed to promoting leadership and innovation in health. Accordingly, healthcare-related activities will continue under the management of other groups at the school. Specifically:
- Events focused broadly on healthcare innovation will be organized under CES with the increased involvement of students in the Healthcare Club.
- Global health activities and materials developed as part of the Global Health Innovation research project will be available via the Center for Social Innovation (CSI) and through the involvement of the Center for Global Business and the Economy (CGBE).
If you have any questions about the transition or would like to continue supporting healthcare activities at the GSB, please contact Caitlin Johnston, Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, at (650) 725-3126.
