I am currently on the job market.
I employ formal and statistical models, along with case study analysis, to investigate issues in political economy. My ongoing projects primarily examine the dynamic interaction of cultural traits and institutions. I use this framework to understand the abrupt collapse of religion in Quebec and some European countries, foreign sponsorship of ethnic rebellions, and the persistence or extinction of cultural traits.
My broad research interests lie at the boundary of economics and political science.
