Maserame’s commitment to the notion that the consumer should be the center of all businesses, regardless of size, began in the food division of Unilever South Africa. She furthered her business experience at Kellogg’s, 8Seconds Branding and Design Agency, and Nahana Group, an advertising and communications group. Maserame spent 16 years of her career at Coca-Cola Africa where she worked across sub-Saharan Africa. She appreciated getting exposed to new markets and consumers, as well as building connections with new colleagues, especially in Kenya.
Maserame held director positions at Coca-Cola Africa in marketing, franchise management, public affairs and sustainability. As part of building her business expertise at Coca-Cola, Maserame had the opportunity to work on innovative projects with colleagues from various parts of the world. She most recently served at Old Mutual, a Pan-African financial services company, as group director for group marketing, public affairs, and sustainability.
Maserame’s current passion is promoting sustainability with a focus on education, job creation and persuading businesses to include impact-driven indicators in their performance evaluation. She looks forward to being a Seed coach and continuing to be part of a program and institution that seeks to transform the lives of Africans.
