Teaching Statement

Sadiq Gillani teaches MKTG 534: “The Travel and Airline Industry” at Stanford Graduate School of Business, since 2014.


Sadiq is heading the in-house consulting division of Emirates Group, leading a 50-person transformation team. He joined Lufthansa Group in 2011 as Chief Strategy & Innovation officer and was a key part of the Group Leadership team which turned around the profits of the company. In 2015 he was asked to become one of the first employees of the new Eurowings, responsible for Network Planning, Fleet and Airport Relations, doubling the size of the airline. 

Sadiq also sits on the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council for Mobility and Travel. His TED talk on the future travel experience has been seen by over 130,000 people. He was formerly the Chief Commercial Officer of a Brazilian low cost airline and a Partner with Seabury (now part of Accenture). He started his consulting career at Bain & Company in London. 

He is a keen traveler, having visited 120 countries and lived on 6 continents.
