Cultural Community Groups

The Asian Business Student Association (ABSA) aims to unite all Stanford GSB students who are from Asia, of Asian descent, and/or interested in Asia from a cultural or business perspective under a common organization.

The Black Business Student Association (BBSA) serves as a support network for Black MBA, MSx, and PhD students. All Stanford GSB students interested in cultural and professional issues that affect African Americans are welcome and encouraged to participate.

The Hispanic Business Student Association exists to create an inclusive community for celebrating Hispanic/LatinX heritage, foster connections between GSB students, alumni, and organizations that advance Hispanic/LatinX leaders, and, above all, support members, not only in navigating life at the GSB but in thriving here and beyond.

The South Asian Business Students Association creates social community and affinity networks through shared experiences and activities for South Asian students and those interested in South Asian culture at GSB. The organization marks major cultural celebrations of South Asia with social and cultural events open to all.

The A³C builds a community of students, faculty, staff, and alumni that fosters greater understanding and awareness of the Asian experience in America. Through programming and advising, the center facilitates the multicultural education of all students and the development of leaders who are able to negotiate an increasingly diverse and complex workplace and global environment.

The Black Community Services Center focuses on supporting the total advancement and excellence of students and student groups within the Stanford community. The guidance and support of the BCSC encompass the academic, social, cultural, and collective totality of each and every student experience.

As a vibrant student center, El Centro Chicano y Latino works to support students academically, personally, socially, and culturally through a focus on creating mature, aware, and socially responsible individuals who advocate and dialogue for equity and social justice.

The Markaz supports a vibrant community of students who identify with or are interested in Muslim experiences both here and around the world. The Markaz Resource Center provides a welcoming space, resources, and programming to engage, educate, and empower the entire Stanford community.

The Stanford Native American Cultural Center works to improve the quality of life for American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Indigenous Pacific Islanders. Members of the community reach out to new students and their families to help them adjust to life at Stanford, realize goals, and prepare for the future.

The Office for Inclusion, Belonging and Intergroup Communication (IBIC) provides campus leadership for students, faculty, and staff to consciously and actively affirm intersectional identities and foster intergroup relationships. Through research, forums, classes, and workshops, the IBIC office builds student capacity and confidence to experience a sense of belonging and develop authentic connections with people from different backgrounds.

The First Generation and/or Low-Income Office (FLI@Stanford) is a hub for first-generation and/or low-income students across Stanford. The FLI Office helps support the unique needs of the FLI graduate community and works to design programs and resources to address them.
