You are about to make a major investment in your future. Financing the Stanford MSx Program will be one of many important factors to consider. Planning ahead is key.
The Stanford MSx Program requires a substantial financial commitment, so we encourage you to assess your current financial situation, review the estimated student budget, and plan accordingly. If you need financial aid, Stanford GSB provides access to a variety of educational loans and fellowships for admitted students.
Sloan Fellows are expected to contribute a portion of their income and assets and to think about lifestyle choices that will affect their debt level following graduation. Fellows are encouraged to repay consumer debt before applying for financial aid at Stanford GSB. The student budget assumes a modest lifestyle and is not sufficient to accommodate payments for credit card debt, cars, etc.
The Stanford GSB Financial Aid Office will determine which loans to offer you based on your citizenship status and the information provided in your financial aid application. To learn more about loans available to you, visit:
Stanford MSx Program Diversity Fellowships
Diversity Fellowships help us recruit future Sloan Fellows from backgrounds that have been underrepresented in the Stanford MSx Program, and that would contribute to a class’s diversity — broadly defined. These include, but are not limited to, Sloan Fellows from developing economies and leaders from government or nongovernmental organizations, as well as from some underrepresented demographic groups in the United States.
The amount of the fellowship awarded varies based on the demonstrated financial need of each individual and the overall pool of funding available. Although a fellowship does not cover the majority of the cost of the program, many Sloan Fellows have found that the fellowship has made a significant contribution.
The Stanford MSx Program Diversity Fellowship awards are determined by the program office. If you have questions, email the Stanford MSx Program office directly.
Sloan Fellowship Fund, Est. 2013
The donor-backed Sloan Fellowship Fund, Est. 2013, supports outstanding Sloan Fellows whose work experience — whether in the private, public, or nonprofit sector — enhances the Stanford MSx Program. Stanford GSB remains committed to developing a generation of leaders regardless of the types of organizations they come from and the types of organizations they hope to lead.
We Are Here to Help
The Stanford GSB Financial Aid Office staff is available to answer questions regarding the application process and policies at any time. However, due to the large number of applications for admission, the Financial Aid Office only reviews information for and awards financial aid to admitted Sloan Fellows only. Upon admission to the Stanford MSx Program, each Sloan Fellow will receive access to the secure Stanford GSB website, where there is more in-depth financial aid information.
