This is the first book ever to actually look at the existing evidence on the social effects (and other effects) of same-sex marriage as provided by 17 years of practice with same-sex marriage in Scandinavia (which were the first countries to extend all the rights and responsibilities of marriage to gay couples as Registered Partnerships). Our book concludes that, based on the evidence, it’s clear that gay marriage not only does NOT harm the institution of marriage, but actually helps to strengthen the institution of marriage.
