Daniel Martinez-Valle has been at the helm of several purpose-driven companies, a descriptor that could just as easily apply to him as an individual. He’s a passionate advocate for sustainability, seeking to address global challenges and advance UN Sustainable Development Goals. He strives to inspire other business leaders to integrate social and environmental responsibility into their strategies. Daniel’s leadership style creates a culture of collaboration and growth, and he encourages members of his organizations to tackle challenges with an innovative mindset. He emphasizes the importance of listening to all voices within an organization, regardless of level, pointing out that having a collective purpose is crucial to inspire employees, stakeholders, and customers.

Daniel is currently the CEO of Grupo Proeza, a portfolio management company that specializes in businesses “recognized for their reliability, innovation, and contribution to the development of their employees towards a better society.” He’s the former CEO of Orbia, a global company whose mission is to “advance life around the world” by providing products and methodologies that address issues such as food and water insecurity and information access. Daniel was instrumental in transforming the company into a planet-people-profit focused venture during his tenure. Daniel also sits on the board of Ideo.org, a San Francisco-based nonprofit design studio that partners with organizations to create innovative solutions that enhance quality of life and address critical issues through human-centered design.
