Kid Parchariyanon, SEP ’18

Supachai Parchariyanon’s parents nicknamed him “Kid,” which translates to “think” in his native Thai. It’s a fitting name for someone whose career journey has included developing a stock-trading app, becoming a medical doctor, starting a healthcare IT consulting company, launching a digital advertising company, and cofounding a corporate consulting business. Kid also runs marathons all over the world. “You need to be physically fit and have mental mindfulness to change the world,” he explains.

Kid has always been passionate about leveraging technology to solve some of the world’s biggest challenges. At age 19, he developed Thailand’s first mobile stock trading app, an early venture that showcased his ability to merge technology with business to make a powerful impact. Today, he applies that same innovative mindset to his work at RISE, Southeast Asia’s leading innovation consulting firm, which he cofounded. RISE has a bold mission: to increase Southeast Asia’s GDP by one percent and reduce global carbon emissions by one percent. RISE partners with Fortune 500 companies and government agencies to create and scale innovative solutions through unique programs and platforms. Kid is also a managing partner at SeaX Ventures, a venture capital firm that invests in companies with “exponential technologies” that have the potential to transform society. SeaX works to bridge the gap between Silicon Valley and Asian markets, funding visionary startups focused on sustainability and deep tech, including AI, robotics, and biotech.
