Chengchen was a director in the product development group at John Hancock Financial, a leading global financial services company. With nine years of experience in the U.S. life insurance market, she has a deep understanding of the mechanics and risks in complex life insurance products. Chengchen led teams of actuarial analysts and actuaries, drove projects through all stages of product development, including project scoping, product research and design, profit and risk analysis, state regulatory filings, implementation, and post-launch monitoring. Most recently, she was the actuarial lead in assessing the implications of a new financial reporting standard on life insurance product development. Chengchen previously held actuarial positions in Boston and Toronto. She is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
