ACE Charter Schools is dedicated to transforming the lives of students in San Jose’s most underserved communities by providing a rigorous and supportive educational environment. Founded with the belief that every student has the potential to attend college and succeed, ACE focuses on those who have fallen behind academically, aiming to break the cycle of failure and disengagement. ACE specifically reaches out to struggling and disengaged students and their families, demonstrating that college is an attainable goal. The student body comprises 92% low-income students, 50% English learners, 93% first-generation college students, and 20% with special needs. ACE alumni have transformed their lives and the lives of their families. Students who once lacked self-confidence and academic skills have become diligent college students with visions of a brighter future. Manuel Martinez, an ACE graduate, shared, “I want to help students build their confidence and believe in themselves, especially those coming from the East Side.”
