WeHOPE
Organization
Since its inception 26 years ago, WeHOPE has responded to the needs of East Palo Alto (EPA) and its neighboring communities by supporting homeless & marginalized populations through cohesive services catered to the specific demands of the individual client’s situation. Services include Mobile Homeless Services, Emergency Food & Shelter, and Job Training and Life Skills.
Recognizing that individuals experiencing homelessness have no access to clean water or laundry facilities, WeHOPE designed Dignity on Wheels - mobile homeless services with shower/laundry units equipped to provide service at locations with or without access to water. In 2015, WeHOPE’s first mobile hygiene unit hit the road and now the program boasts a fleet of 16 units that serve individuals in 4 counties throughout the Bay Area. Comprehensive case management support is provided to address a variety of individual challenges including job loss, illness, and food insecurity.
