This case describes the creation, mission, strategy and interaction of the Kinetics Foundation and the Michael J. Fox Foundation. The Kinetics Foundation was created by Intel former Chairman and CEO Andrew S. Grove. The Michael J. Fox Foundation was created by the well known actor Michael J. Fox. While the Kinetics and Michael J. Fox foundations are quite different in their structures and processes, they both support research into finding treatments and cures for Parkinson’s disease. Both Grove and Fox suffer from Parkinson’s disease, a neurodegenerative condition.
