Update on Zia Yusuf

By Jeffrey Pfeffer
2013 | Case No. OB82 | Length 4 pgs.
Despite the likelihood of being named the next CEO within a few years, Zia Yusuf decided to leave SAP in the fall of 2009. He spent the next six months or so as an executive-in-residence for two prominent venture capital firms, joined the board of several companies, and did some freelance consulting. This update briefly explores Yusuf’s decision to become CEO at Streetline, a company that patented sensor technology to provide parking solutions, and how he turned this struggling startup, on the verge of closing, into a promising industry pioneer.
