The article presents a non-governmental organization (NGO) influencing environmental laws compliance in China. Focused is the nonprofit Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs (IPE) wherein it has exposed polluting factories in China that are sources for companies like Apple, Motorola and Pepsi. China’s environmental transparency is examined wherein it has provided IPE with government data to unmask polluters. Advice to supply chain managers on how to deal with entities like IPE is offered.
