Co-Managing Partner, Evolution Media Capital

Stuart Epstein is co-managing partner of Evolution Media, the investment and advisory arm of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the world’s leading full-service media, entertainment, and sports talent agency. Its principal investment vehicle, Evolution Media Partners, was formed as a joint venture with global private investment firm TPG Growth and Participant Media to invest up to $1 billion in growth-stage media, entertainment, sports, and technology companies.

Prior to Evolution, Stuart served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of NBCUniversal, where he had responsibility for the company’s financial planning and operations, strategic initiatives, and real estate efforts. During his tenure, NBCU’s operating cash flow grew from approximately $3 billion to over $5 billion, a 16% compounded annual growth rate.

Previously, Stuart had been a managing director at Morgan Stanley, where he was global head of the Media & Communications Group and a member of the Management Committee of the Investment Banking Division. In 2009, he was a key member of the team that structured the transaction in which Comcast purchased the controlling interest in NBCUniversal from General Electric.

Stuart received his BS from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

He and his wife live in New York City and have four children.
