The Invoice2Go case follows CEO Greg Waldorf and Head of Product Tanya Maddalena as they re-organize the product management team and begin re-energizing the product of this established and profitable mobile invoicing tech company. Particular issues explored include recovering from technical debt, designing effective product management organizations, prioritizing feature development, managing growth-stage tech companies, and analyzing the role and responsibilities of a product manager in a growth-stage organization.
Learning Objective
Students will discuss lessons in effective company and product management for a growth-stage tech company. Classes will explore the issues of re-energizing existing products and strategic tradeoffs when organizing product management teams, with particular focus on the role of the product manager.
