Research and Curriculum

The GSB supports 34 faculty members researching issues that impact global businesses and offers 36 internationally oriented courses. We develop an understanding of innovation, entrepreneurship, and a variety of industries in leading regions and developing and emerging countries.

This research infuses the School's curriculum with current thinking on international business practices and policy. Students learn the complexities of running operations across dispersed geographies; in different cultures simultaneously; and within varying legal, economic, and political infrastructures.

We share our knowledge through scholarship, teaching, and collaboration to create opportunities that have an exponential effect on society and institutions worldwide.

Experiential Programs

Last year, students and faculty partnered with corporate, government, and NGOs around the world by participating in more than 100 experiential programs.

• 94 Global Management Immersion Experience (GMIX) projects partnering with 57 organizations in 27 countries.
• 17 Global Study Trips as far-reaching as Australia, Botswana, Brazil, Columbia, Egypt, Germany, India, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Mexico, Slovenia/Croatia, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, Vietnam, and Zambia.
• The Stanford-Tsinghua Exchange Program (STEP).
