Over the course of five one-week modules, you’ll be taught by over 30 faculty members on today’s most relevant topics. Regardless of where you are in your career, the Stanford Business Leadership Series will give you the essential business insights you need to survive and thrive in these turbulent times.

You can attend the live online faculty sessions and participate in Q&A or view recorded sessions at your convenience. Program Schedule

The series includes five, one-week modules of content.

  • Live sessions: Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 9:15am, Pacific Time
  • Recordings: Available within eight hours of the conlusion of each live session. Participants have access to recordings until August 15, 2021.

Module 1
12 Apr – 16 Apr 2021

Draw upon Stanford’s latest global research and findings to lead your organization during this period of rapid change, understand the major trends and institutions shaping the global economy and the future of international management, and think strategically about global business issues, including economic and financial structures, regulatory systems, and cultural and social conditions.

Module 2
26 Apr – 30 Apr

Develop effective frameworks for changing your organization’s strategic shortcomings into opportunities, identify factors that drive or inhibit growth, and focus on leadership skills and management systems needed to operate businesses more efficiently, and understand a leader’s role and responsibilities in various aspects of building a winning organization, from aligning your internal strategy to tackling the M&A process.

10 May – 14 May

Rebound from organizational challenges to build back in a more sustainable and inclusive way, identify actions to take for applying concepts and strategies to advance equitable and inclusive workplaces, and adapt and communicate your organizational strategies to address urgent global and social challenges.

Module 4
24 May – 28 May

Understand how machine learning and AI technologies, current uses, and strategic applications impact your own organization, strategize on how to thoughtfully harness machine learning, weighing the ethical, legal, workforce, and social implications, and explore the power and potential of this transformative technology and what it means for you as a leader and innovator.

Module 5
07 Jun – 11 Jun

Learn techniques to present your message in a confident, concise, and compelling manner so that it resonates with your audience, link persuasion science and research to contemporary lessons to help shape people’s thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors through strategic communications, and understand social hierarchy — including power, status, and leadership — and how you can effectively utilize your social network to benefit your career.
