Bio

Laura is an accomplished and versatile business operator with over 20 years of experience in product management, marketing, and building and scaling operational teams. With a strong focus on operational rigor and team leadership, Laura transforms innovative ideas and strategies into tangible actions and measurable results.

Laura’s professional journey began in the high-end leisure industry, where she honed her marketing skills. Following the completion of her MBA, Laura transitioned into the technology sector, joining Intuit. Over the course of seven years at Intuit, Laura excelled in various roles encompassing brand management, product marketing, digital marketing, and product management. Her exceptional contributions earned her the prestigious Scott Cook Innovation Award, recognizing her for creating innovations that delivered substantial financial benefits.

Eager to explore the dynamic world of startups, Laura ventured into the startup ecosystem, assuming leadership positions at successful ventures such as Glassdoor, TaskRabbit, and Castlight Health. Throughout her tenure, she spearheaded teams across product management, marketing, and operations, fostering a tightly-knit and results-driven environment. Laura consistently prioritizes delivering value and achieving outcomes that drive organizational success.

More recently, Laura has leveraged her extensive expertise as a consultant for early-stage startups, assisting companies in their launch and scale phases. Drawing upon her diverse skill set, she specializes in guiding teams toward successful execution, enabling them to bring their ideas to fruition.

I'm thrilled to return to Stanford GSB as a lecturer for the upcoming Product Management course this spring. My background in startup leadership and product management informs my teaching style, which is practical, interactive, and supportive. Our learning journey will be marked by engaging discussions, problem-solving, and activities mirroring the dynamic world of product management.
