Kevin Cool
Kevin Cool is a senior editor at Stanford GSB. He has been telling stories his entire career, first as a newspaper journalist, later as a magazine editor, and now as a podcast host.
He has reported extensively throughout the United States and abroad. His stories have included accounts of army atrocities in Guatemala, cultural observations of China, and how climate change is threatening the future of the Colorado River.
He was editor of Stanford’s flagship publication, Stanford magazine, for nearly 20 years. Under his leadership, the magazine won over 70 national writing, editing, and design awards. His essays and articles have been named best in class among higher education publications more than a dozen times.
Currently, in addition to hosting If/Then, Cool edits the Voices series of faculty, student, and alumni profiles, edits the biweekly Stanford Business newsletter, and reports on Stanford GSB school activities and initiatives.
