Robin Donohoe is a co-founder and director of Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation (www.drkfoundation.org), a global venture philanthropy firm supporting early stage, high-impact social enterprises. Relying on Robin’s 30 years of experience in the venture capital industry, the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation finds, funds, and supports exceptional leaders with innovative, impactful, and scalable ideas to tackle the world’s most intractable problems.
Previously, Robin was the founder and managing director of the Draper International and Draper Richards Funds. The Draper International India Fund (1994–2000) was the first Western venture fund to go into India. Its domestic fund, Draper Richards (1996–2012), included investments in Hotmail, Skype, OpenTable, and AthenaHealth.
Robin is the founder and chairman of the Bluefield Project to Cure Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), the leading cause of dementia in middle age. She currently serves on the boards of the SugarBowl Ski Corp. and the overseers of University of California, San Francisco.
Robin is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina and holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
She resides in San Francisco with her husband, Chris Donohoe, and their four children.
