Kumar is a principal at Sands Capital Ventures, the venture capital affiliate of Sands Capital Management. At Sands, Kumar focuses on early- and growth-stage investments in software and consumer internet businesses. Kumar has been closely involved with the firm’s investments in companies such as Anaplan, AppDynamics, DocuSign, Health Catalyst, and MuleSoft. Prior to Sands, Kumar was a consultant at Altman Vilandrie, where he provided strategic advisory to operators and investors in the technology, media, and telecom (TMT) space.
