Before coming to Stanford, Lamia was a principal technical program manager at Facebook. Before that, as a program and product manager at Microsoft and Google, she led products at Azure and Google Cloud. She has proved her leadership and her technical and business acumen while taking projects from the ideation phase all the way to public launches, working with both customers and engineers. Lamia is a co-author of the 2008 paper Toward a Unified Ontology of Cloud Computing, which has received global recognition and is required reading for many graduate-level classes at top schools. She was profiled in IEEE Women in Engineering Magazine in December 2013.
