Miguel is an experienced investor and leader in the finance industry. At AFP Capital, Miguel serves more than 2 million Chileans, managing their pension fund investments in a portfolio valued at US $40 billion. He leads AFP Capital’s fixed-income team, which underwent a massive turnaround in 2017; it ranked second among all Chilean pension funds in percentage returns for the 12-month period. Previously, while a vice president at Santander Bank, Miguel set up one of the first options-trading portfolios in Chile. After earning his master’s degree, Miguel was a member of the founding team of financial consulting startup RiskAmerica.com, which has grown to service more than 100 local clients and is now the leader in fixed-income consulting in Chile.
