Steven was a senior transformation manager at Standard Chartered Bank in Kenya. As a management team member of group information, technology, and operations (ITO) in East Africa, he was responsible for its strategic direction and transformation programs. Steven developed a global strategy to transform ITO from a business support function into a business co-creation function. He also led the bank’s turnaround of its invoice financing business, successfully doubling year-on-year volume and growing revenue by 93%. Prior to Kenya, Steven worked at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, where he joined as a management trainee and quickly progressed to become the youngest member of the management team for group ITO in Singapore. He was also the de facto chief of staff to the Singapore chief information officer.
