It is a member of the global network Teach For All, which was launched to assist social entrepreneurs around the world who have been inspired by Teach For America. Ed cultivated strong relationships with strategic external stakeholders — such as the Ministry of Education, boards of education, school districts, and current and potential partner schools — in order to place participants. TFJ serves 2,000 students every year. Ed, who is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community, is also a research associate professor at Kyoto University. He was named one of the 100 most influential people for Japan by “Nikkei Business” in 2014.
