Student Clubs
Student-initiated clubs at Stanford GSB provide students with channels to address issues most relevant to them and offer opportunities to further develop their leadership skills.
Clubs invite speakers from companies and organizations, engage the community in awareness and service activities, and build connections that complement classroom learning.
MSx Class Gift Committee
The MSx Class Gift Committee is responsible for the campaign to raise funds for the MSx class gift, in partnership with the Stanford GSB Development Office.
MSx Student Association
The student association represents and advocates for MSx students’ views and concerns; promotes, coordinates, and operates MSx student activities and services; and enhances channels of communication among students, faculty, administration, alumni, and university communities.
Outdoors Club
Get outside and form deeper connections with classmates through the GSB outdoors club. We are here to increase inclusion in the outdoors, and ensure everyone feels welcome in the wild. We will be facilitating trips throughout the quarter while also hosting outdoor-themed social events and speakers throughout the year. Come find a new GSB community in the outdoors. We aim to encourage and inspire students to experience the natural beauty of the Bay Area and beyond.
People People Club
The Stanford GSB People People believe that every great leader is a people leader first. So whether you aspire to be a chief people officer, build an HR tech startup, or simply differentiate yourself as a leader who helps your people thrive, we’d love to have you in our community! When you join People People, you’ll gain access to programming focused on human capital, people leadership, and the future of work. We’ll connect you with other students passionate about those topics, provide you with opportunities to learn about cutting-edge trends changing the world of work, and, if relevant, help you navigate a career in the people space. We’re also helping bring together the growing community of alumni working in the people space, and we look forward to introducing them to our members.
PhD Student Association
The PhD Student Association is the elected student body government that acts as a liaison with the school administration and faculty. The association is composed of a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Social Chair. The PhD Student Association works to enrich the quality of social and academic life for doctoral students at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Pride
Pride Club is a social and socially active organization for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning students and allies at Stanford GSB. The goals are to provide a community for LGBTQ students and allies, to serve as a resource for our membership and the Stanford GSB Community as a whole, and to increase awareness of LGBTQ issues in business. Activities include social gatherings on campus and throughout the Bay Area, educational and awareness-building events, participation in the LGBTQ MBA Conference, and networking events with gay and lesbian alumni and with complementary groups from Stanford’s other schools. Membership is open and confidential. For those who are out, Pride aims to grow the community’s visible presence on campus.
Private Equity Club
The Private Equity Club is devoted to fostering awareness of and interest in the private investment industry throughout the GSB community. Our activities focus on middle-stage growth equity and late-stage LBO investment activities. We encourage students with and without industry experience to participate.
Product Club
The Product Club focuses on all things product! Whether you’re building your own product, want to help a company successfully develop and launch better products, or are interested in connecting with people over product — Product Club is for you! We host social, professional, and skill-building events, showcase internship and job opportunities, and connect you with peers, alums, and industry professionals in product!
Real Estate Club
The Real Estate Club focuses on the buildings, spaces, and communities where people live, work, and play. Finance, economics, legal and regulatory procedures, architecture and design, and urban planning are topics that may be covered in this forum.
Search Fund Club
The Search Fund Club’s mission is to provide an introduction to entrepreneurship through acquisition for students exploring the industry, as well as a platform to accelerate the launch of a formal search fund for students who have already committed to the career path.
Soccer Club
The GSB Soccer Club aims to promote a balance between fun and serious soccer for all GSB students who are interested in the world’s greatest sport. We welcome all levels of skill and involvement. For those who love playing, we plan a number of big events throughout the year, including: UCLA Tournament, Austin Tournament, C4C at Stanford, US vs. the World LPF, and MBA1s vs. MBA2s. Additionally, we have pick-up games three–four times a week throughout the year that are open to everyone. We look forward to seeing you out there!
Social Impact Club
The Social Impact Club serves Stanford GSB students interested in exploring innovative ways to tackle the world’s most pressing social challenges and improving livelihoods for those in need, both in the US and worldwide. The club aims to explore how innovation across business, finance, policy, and nonprofit systems can better catalyze long-term social impact.
South Asian Business Students Association (SABSA)
SABSA is an organization at GSB founded to create social community and affinity networks through shared experiences & activities for South Asian students and those interested in South Asian culture at GSB. The organization marks big cultural celebrations of South Asia with social and cultural events open to all. In addition, SABSA works closely with ABSA to cater to the broader South Asian interested community who may choose to affiliate with either or both student organizations.
Sports Management Club
Whether you are a die-hard sports fan or a sports industry veteran looking to deepen your network, the Sports Management Club is a perfect fit for you.The Sports Management Club hosts guest speakers, plans small group dinners, sets up career panels, and organizes outings with those involved in the business side of sports and related industries. Recent examples include general managers and presidents of sports organizations (e.g., Sam Hinkie — GM of the Philadelphia 76ers; Dave Kaval — President of the Oakland Athletics), league executives (e.g., Amy Brooks — President of Team Marketing & Business Operations and Chief Innovation Officer at the NBA), and representatives from multinational sports organizations (e.g., Nike). The SMC extends far beyond sports teams and leagues to include apparel, media, marketing, e-commerce, sports agencies, and more.
Student-Alumni Committee
The Student-Alumni Committee serves as the point of connection between the Stanford GSB student community and the Alumni Relations Office. The committee provides valuable input and guidance on strategies, programs, and initiatives driven by the Alumni Relations Office that engage Stanford GSB students with alumni, and prepare students to become active members of the alumni community.
Tech Club
Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the Stanford Graduate School of Business is geographically and strategically positioned to take advantage of a wealth of technology companies headquartered and thriving within its vicinity. The Tech Club is open to members of the Stanford GSB community with a passion for technologies ranging from consumer to enterprise, software to hardware, mobile to wearable. The mission of Tech Club is to empower its members to explore the technology industry, regardless of their background. There are several dimensions in which the Tech Club operates and advances Stanford GSB students’ interest in technology.
Texas Club
The Texas Club is comprised of students who are from Texas, who are interested in finding jobs in Texas, or who simply have an interest in Texan issues and an appreciation for good barbecue! We work with the Career Management Center to bring more Texas-based companies to recruit on campus, work with the Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship clubs to bring Texas-based VC’s to campus, and host barbecues and chili cook-offs.
Venture Capital Club
The Venture Capital Club is one of the largest and most popular student organizations at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. The club sponsors a variety of group events with venture capitalists and entrepreneurs, including small group dinners, speaker presentations, workshops, and social events. Club members range from those with previous VC experience to those who are exploring the venture industry for the first time.
Veterans Club
The Veterans Club is the GSB’s association of military veterans. While all ex-military MBA and MSx students are automatically members, the club is open to all GSB students and attempts to relate the unique experiences of military service to current events and business problems that managers are likely to encounter, including strategic, human resources, and operational issues. The Veterans Club also provides an opportunity to help MBA1 club members who are seeking a private-sector position for the first time with advice concerning the recruiting process, including writing resumes, industry and company analysis, and interviewing skills.

VFTT is the premier speaker series at Stanford GSB. Each year, the series brings leaders from a variety of industries to campus to discuss their business and leadership philosophies with students.
Wellbeing Club
The Wellbeing Club is designed to foster a student-driven Stanford GSB wellbeing community, help preserve wellness-related institutional knowledge, and support Stanford GSB students who are interested in wellbeing-related careers.
Wine Circle
The GSB Wine Circle seeks to provide a foundation of knowledge and tasting experiences to further students’ enjoyment and understanding of wine. The Wine Circle offers opportunities to develop closer relationships between students, faculty, and industry insiders in an informal social setting.
Women in Management (WIM)
Women in Management (WIM) is a club that supports women at the GSB by developing a supportive community of individuals who inspire each other to thrive. WIM is open to all MBA students of all genders in supporting the experience of women at the GSB and in the professional community. We invite all members of the GSB community to get involved with WIM in one way or another and participate in building an inclusive community. We host a range of events throughout the year, including a retreat, big-name speakers, our annual banquet, a career trek, and regular panels covering a range of personal and professional topics. We also facilitate WIM Groups, considered by many to be a highlight of their GSB experience.
