The LEAD Corporate Innovation Program curriculum: Eight in-depth courses. 250-plus hours of relevant content. One year of intense virtual, social, and global learning.

Which innovative ideas will deliver the greatest impact? How do you overcome organizational barriers to change? What will it take to move from idea to implementation? The Stanford LEAD curriculum is carefully designed to help you answer them all. Through a combination of key business fundamentals and innovation-focused electives, you’ll learn how to address the unique challenges and opportunities aspiring leaders face when trying to foster and implement change within an established organization.

Start With the Fundamentals

The Stanford LEAD Certificate in Corporate Innovation begins with three foundation courses in finance, strategy, and critical analytical thinking to give you the strategic business tools and techniques to accelerate change and transformation in your organization.

Customize Your Corporate Innovation Curriculum with Electives

After completing the foundation courses, you will select five electives to match your specific interests, goals, and business challenges — from design thinking and negotiating to building business models and overcoming resistance to change.

What to Expect

Stanford LEAD has a unique, collaborative, and experiential design that requires active participation, such as watching exclusive course videos, reading case studies, participating in interactive speaker sessions, and collaborating on small team projects. Through these connection-driven activities, you will be able to apply course concepts immediately, share learnings, and receive feedback from faculty and your cohort of peers.

The Corporate Innovation curriculum is rigorous. Expect to spend an average of three to five hours per week per course. While the eight-course curriculum is designed to be completed in one year, you may have up to 24 months to complete the program.

Earn Your Certificate

Upon program completion, you will receive a Stanford GSB certificate in two formats: a Certified Electronic version that may be posted on your social networks or shared with your employer and a frameable version. Additionally, you will receive 24 CEU’s, which can be helpful in meeting professional re-certification requirements or to qualify for professional development or tuition reimbursement programs.

Thanks to our high-touch support model and selective admissions process, Stanford LEAD has experienced an average completion rate of 95% for each enrolled class.
